How Dabbl collects and uses your personal information. We aim to be transparent and to keep things as cookie-free as possible.

Who we are

Dabbl is a private creative coworking and studio rental hub based in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), South Africa. This notice explains how we handle personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect

When you submit our apply / enquiry form we collect your name, email, phone number, the membership tier you’re interested in, and any message you provide. We use this only to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a member, to administer your membership.

We also collect basic, aggregated analytics about how the site is used (page views, page load speed, country) via Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. These services do not set browser cookies, do not track you across other sites, and do not use your personal information.

If you arrive at the site from a marketing link (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Google, etc.), the campaign tags in the URL (UTM parameters and click IDs) are stored in your browser’s sessionStorage for the current tab only. They are discarded when you close the tab.

Advertising measurement

When you submit the apply form, we may share a hashed (one-way encrypted) version of your email and phone number with Meta and TikTok via their server-side Conversions APIs. This lets us measure the performance of our ad campaigns without setting any marketing cookies on your device. We never share plain-text contact details with ad platforms.

Cookies

We don’t set marketing or advertising cookies. The only cookies you might encounter are strictly necessary cookies used by the hosting platform (Vercel) to keep the site running. These are exempt from POPIA consent requirements.

How long we keep your information

Enquiry data is retained for as long as we need to follow up on your interest, and deleted after 24 months of inactivity unless you become a member. Member records are retained for the duration of membership plus seven years (for tax and legal compliance).

Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to its processing. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@dabbl.co.za. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the South African Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
